Pissed Again

This is, as far as I know, the last remaining pissoire, or public toilet open to the elements in Paris. There are modern concrete boxes now but this is the real McCoy, still proving functional if not secluded today, as this photo proves.

The design is striking and the odour even more so. The chunky pipes and cast iron decorations (I say, not having the slightest idea if it's cast iron) are a delight to the eye - I'll show you more in another posting.

This is more of a reportage shot than an artistic one, but the fact that someone is actually using the thing adds immeasurably to the shot.
